Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but if I encounter something that totally disgusts me I:
1. look the other way
2. try to get out of the way / get away from that situation as quickly as possible
3. do my best to avoid that situation in the future

One thing I don't do is hang around and poke, prod or make the situation worse. I also don't try to pick a fight. For the most part I believe someone that is doing something disgusting is willing to fight just as hard to preserve their right to keep on doing what they are doing. I try to be nonconfrontation, as I value my health and well-being. Besides, I don't know their specific situation as to why/how they came to that point that others see as "disgusting".

If some of these posts create or add to the mentality of "We're not threatened by it, we're disgusted by it." then that begs the question of why stir the pot? You're not helping the person who asked the question, you're not resolving the issue ot trying to get rid of the disgusting offense that was presented . . . it seems to me all you are doing is creating more stress and grief for everyone. You yourself become what you hate the most -- the disgusting offense.
