they are delayed becvause they closed the LA office and are doing everything out of the Sacramento office. They are also having just a few people actually working in the office and are flooded with all the new notaries, renewing notaries who had expired while they were closed, not to mention that I'm not sure that all of them know what they are really doing because there has been quite a bit of conflicting information coming from their office.
Here is an example- when they send out the sheet regarding the oath, it says if processing by mail to appear before another notary and have 2 oaths notarized and then send both UNSIGNED back to the county recorders office- which cannot be done because how is the other notary going to notarize it if it isn't signed?, and then regarding returning it, to do so by certified mail or any means of hand delivery as to obtain a receipt. I did appear before another notary but when I tried to deliver it in person the recorders office made me take the oath again. That made no sense since it did not say to waste my time going before another notary , just to have to take the oath again. I could give more examples but it is pissing me off all over again just to think about it. |
