Everyone has a first and this seemed to work in your favor, the no sign and as another poster mentioned study the docs, educate yourself on this set of docs and do remember all work orders will be a bit different.
You may already this, this scenario is not uncommon there are many jobs out that, where one is simply thrown in to do the work, school simply doesn't prepare you for the actual situation.
This was a great lesson for you. I wanted to mention so you are prepared, when asking for borrower's ID these are the things you will need to key in on.....so take your own out, key in on the expiration date, the issued date and of course the date of birth, you will need all three for your documentation. First and foremost look at the photo, name and signature, be comfortable doing this the borrowers at this point will most likely be watching you the entire time, don't let it ruffle your feathers.....proceed as if you have done this a million times. Best of luck....
