Agree with the others. I think you're okay, Janet. I researched my saved files/emails and was unable to locate any notification regarding my FBI/DOJ background check. Got 'em for the annual through XYZ; but, nothing for the 4-year BGC required by CA SOS.

Now that you've piqued my curiosity, please let us know if you do receive some kind of notice regarding that BGC.

Insofar as live scan vs. fingerprints. It is my understanding that when we undergo a live scan, our prints are taken. We may not be inking up for the "old-fashioned" fingerprinting. However, the live scan captures our prints to compare in the data bases. Cheryl, I believe you used to do live scans a few years ago. Am I misunderstanding the process?
