 Well said Roger, and very diplomatically....

....and a must read for new board members.

Roger made several great points:

1. The oversaturation of notaries via the NNA without a real understanding of the business;
2. The mis information fed to newbies "Now that I have my stamp, where's all the work?";
3. Coming to this board and asking questions they should have known from their class;
4. The need to police ourselves and the consequence of mistakes for the borrower;
5. The board WILL answer legitimate questions, and everyone here was new once; and
6. Last but not least - not knowing your "stuff" ABSOLUTELY does cheapen the title of NSA.

By cheapening that title - every experienced NSA pays the price in lower fee's, faxbacks and babysitting. So, what you do (or don't do) as newbie's affects ALL of us.

That's why the posts in response to "how do I fill out an acknowledgment" get such strong reactions.

One other thought AMGA - if you participate here you'll get TONS of encouragement and "attaboys" for your successes, once you get the basics down. This is a great community of people. Be thankful others want to help - just don't decide at this early point in your career what that help should look like.
