Re: What is to come for the housing market in America
Posted by Carolyn Bodley on 3/29/22 8:39pm

Houses are still in high demand here, and many on the market for only a few days or a few weeks. Many end up in bidding wars. Changes need to be made because of the outrageous house prices. We bought our house 35 years ago. well under $100,000. House is 70 years old and was $5,000 brand new. Houses in the neighborhood are going for over $500,000 today. I feel sorry for first-time home buyers. We just had a conversation a few days ago with a man complaining about what a wedding is going to cost him for his daughter this fall. We told him to give daughter and future son-in-law the “wedding costs” as a down payment on a house!
