Unless it's a same-day signing I usually text my confirmations now. I find that I generally get a quicker response than I do by leaving a voicemail message. Besides, so many people today don't answer their phone if they don't recognize the number. If I do call and don't get an immediate response (they answer or return my call within an hour or so) I'll text them. I used to email a lot too but I don't do that much anymore. They seem to respond more quickly to texts.
