Re: anyone can sell your data from that website...
Posted by  JanetK_CA on 1/28/24 12:46am

Whatever settings I have in my browser are the same for any website I visit. Theirs is the only one I've noticed that, when I opt out of allowing the sale of my personal data, it doesn't save my preferences. And it's still happening. I'd be interested to know if any other CA notaries have noticed this...

I mention CA notaries only because we have a law here requiring any website that collects cookies to offer viewers the ability to opt out of certain things, including selling personal data collected with cookies. I realize that if we have an account with them, some of our data is public, but that shouldn't mean they can sell all of it to spammers (e.g. IP addresses...?)

As a CA based company, they should know all this. SMH
