This "newbie" says they read the material on the boards, did their research, studied & was very honest about the fact that book smarts don't compare to actually doing the work for the first time. They weren't asking the same question that everyone asks or being lazy about their approach. This is a good example of how a newbie is treated by the vets when they've done their share of work prior to posting here.
One important point that I didn't see mentioned by this poster is if they studied their state's notary laws. THE MOST IMPORTANT things to know are the laws that affect your job as a notary. The forms are pretty much the same from lender to lender. After almost 3 years, I can do a loan package backward & forward, inside & out. Once in a while, a new form gets snuck in & I have to read/scan it to make sure I know what it's for & if it requires notarization, or a form will change a bit (the 1003 [Loan Application], for example).
