What ticks me off about these docs is when reading through them I noted they did not have mention of the notary fee in the order to be signed by the judge. It would be very appropriate to list it in the order, just like a settlement statement would list ia fee of some kind.
It could also say that SIGNER SMITH (or PEACHTREE) is to pay this amount immediately upon receipt of his payment and not more than 10 days past that date.
The notary would get paid then. I know judges who'd line that in for the notary if they knew it was an issue getting paid. If they just had an invoice, they could scribble it into the order at the judge's execution. Or note it in the docket. Something to have us paid just like the court reporters and subpoena servers do. |
