You know your business, and your clients. It is your prerogative to conduct your business as you see fit. If you have the blessings of your clients, and the latitude with the borrowers to change appointed times, locations, etc., then no harm done. However I’d keep such posts/suggestions anonymous, as many SS and Title Co’s do read this board. Also may I say that there are some out there that IMO have poor business mores. Some double book, then cancel on one or more, (my babysitter died) or ‘farm out’ the assignments to others, or call the borrowers and schedule for tomorrow, and back date (yup, seen it happen) and I could go on. It’s your business you run it as you like. Remember sometimes your acts reflect on us all, and where else can someone with virtually no education, no experience, and no capital outlay go and make say $1250 (your 10 signings) in a day. Me, I can’t…I don’t double book, and I try and not take more than three signings in a day. I’ve never done ten, as a mobile notary. I have closed that many when working in a Title Company’s office, doing back-to-back closings, but even that was grueling. Good luck today I hope all your assignments materialize.
