I will try this. I thought Linkedin was a great concept, but people misuse it all the time. People I have never heard of are constantly sending invitations - to my way of thinking, this should be a link because we actually know these others and would feel fine associating our names with them. How can I endorse someone I don't know? Just because they are a notary? No, all the time we are seeing how notaries with many years experience still don't know how to tell the difference between an ACK and a jurat....and dumb (stupid) questions on the forums that are clearly Notary101.
I no longer accept invitations from people I don't know. If you use an anonymous name here, there is no way I would know who you are; same if you don't link. If I haven't seen your posts here over the years and gleaned some great or at least agree with my thinking on proper procedure, I don't know you either. The whole networking concept should be on these type premises - someone you actually know of and respect....someone you would actually refer and feel good about it too.
