Call me crazy, call me paranoid ...

... (and many of you probably have), but in this particular day and age, why would an able-bodied single man demand a lone female NSA come to his house to sign when offered the opportunity to meet at Starbucks, nearby fast food place or someplace public. (Please don't carry on about how other locations may be inhospitable or not up to your standards or other OT responses). Point is, what are men thinking? I just find it weird.

Fact is, when my husband and I did signings together back in the day, I took the single females. My hubby thought I was nuts, but went along with it for the most part. Not that I feared he may run off with one of them (well, maybe), but why even risk some woman alleging something inappropriate occurred? Today it's just the opposite. In today's environment, I would think a single man would seriously think twice about expecting a lone woman come to his house. I could claim he did you-know-what, and in this MeToo environment why risk it? Today, I asked an older guy (my age) if he wanted me to come to his house or meet at a nearby location. He replied he knew "what I was getting at" but insisted I come to his house. His response perplexed me because the actual reason I was asking him was cos he lives on the top of the Matterhorn and I didn't want to have to drive up there in ice and snow.

I think we may have had this conversation before on NR, but can't remember that anything substantive resulted. I do know that many brokerages now require lone female real estate agents to be accompanied to show properties. So whadda you think?
