Notary ASAP was one of the companies I used to work with when I first started. Their fee was $100 and Velvet would rarely budge from that but they did pay. After a while, payment seemed to take a little longer. Finally just quit working with them.
First Class Signings (Eric, owner) -- Started working with them when they first came on the radar. In fact, I like to think I was instrumental in getting Eric to add his company to SC. We had a good relationship; loved working with them and they usually met my fee. Then, they grew and joined SD for docs but still scheduling with a phone call. Still met my fee. After a while, they added more staff and fees dropped. During that time, in conversation with Eric, he informed me that he was looking at companies to buy out. He'd already bought a couple (forget which ones). Then, they no longer called to schedule (at least not me). Rather, they depend on SD for blast offers and docs and their fees decreased. Haven't worked with them for at least a couple of years by choice. IMO, it's a shame. Another good company gone wrong insofar as the notary is concerned. As far as the company is concerned, apparently they're still growing. Guess the more they grow, the lower the notary fee.
