My experience with both Sam's Club and Quill and I'm a member of both:
Sam's: Annual Plus membership costs $100.00. Member's Mark 8.5x11 multipurpose copy paper is $27.98 IF I pickup at club; if shipped, $32.98.
Quill: Annual membership costs $9.99. Quill Plus Quill Brand 8.5x11 copy paper is ALWAYS (to member) $27.99 with free shipping regardless of order amount.
I've been a Sam's member for many years because of gas prices and that's where I was getting all my office supplies. That's also where I usually get all my supplies for large meals like Thanksgiving, birthdays, etc. Plus membership gives free shipping on many (but not all) items. On average, there's a $0.40 price difference in gas between Sam's and Arco in my area; more for other gas stations. My SUV has a 19.2 fuel tank capacity. I usually gas up twice a week; however, I do cover a large territory so oftentimes refueling is more frequent.
My business was VERY brisk last year. I didn't have time to go into Sam's to pickup my orders and then have to cart it from my vehicle to inside my home. Decided to try Quill's membership. Delivery's about the same for both -- 1 to 2 days, right inside my front door.
