I agree, but today's younger generation doesn't remeber those days, so this is a shock to them, and waiting now until things change. It's been so low for so long, that is their normal.
I do believe that homeownership is better than renting, and if they find the house they want and can afford, rates won't affect them if they qualify with the belief they can refiance it later.
