I've been doing photo inspections for VSI for months and they are legit. They generally pay $25 per job order; sometimes it's several jobs at one time or there might be one/two. I will say this, they like to hound inspectors to either accept/reject orders and if rejected, it can cause issues with ranking, etc.
They are relatively easy to communicate with however, their app is clunky and the website isn't great either. The calendar doesn't work too well when trying to block out time for scheduling purposes and I'm not sure they even look at it. I was recently on vacation out of state - I had blocked out time weeks in advance and got a call asking why I had not responded to a note regarding pending job orders. I told the dispatcher I was out of town for a week and not working; I had updated my calendar something like three weeks in advance and was told they did not see that anywhere.
I can say everyone at VSI has been nice and very helpful; their process is just kind of wonky and a pain to navigate. They do pay on time although if you have to repeat an inspection, they ding your pay and rating. Training isn't great but not the worst; it's better to work with the QC specialist assigned to your job orders than it is to try uploading photos/info that could incorrect. Once you close out a job, it's closed and if there's a do-over, you get dinged.
