I own an abstracting company in Maryland. I carry a minimum of $1million E&O insurance. I suggest working with an attorney or title company for at least 2 years. No one wants to hire an abstractor without prior experience and not the kind of experience you will get from an online course. There are so many abstractors, tons more than there are notary closers.
