I feel your pain and have found myself in the same situation many times. I have started saying that I have other commitments and have to have the docs by a certain time or I will not be able to do it. It does not usually cause a problem if you are honest with them and give them enough notice to accomodate you, especially if you have a good relationship with them.
By the way, could you clarify what your acronyms mean? I am not familiar with those.
