It was taking 4-5 months for new commission/renewals in 2009 & 2010, but now it's only taking 4-6 weeks after passing test and background check is approved.

We have 130,000 fewer CA Notaries since 2008 and that might be the reason the state can commission quicker. We are down to 163,000 notaries in CA.

I am teaching in San Diego in Feb. Call me.
