haha. first I NEVER leave a business card even though I am a realtor and often 6 months after people refinance, they put their house on the market. second, I tell them when they sign that 3 day right of rescission, don't call me, I have no power, call the loan officer! I've only had 1 person in 10 yrs call me a couple of months later and I had not deleted their documents for some reason on my laptop...must have missed it but the bank had never contacted them to make payments so they had no idea where to send the mortgage payment. They were local people so I was glad to help them. I now know how to look up their mortgage documents online as Iowa has a site that shows the mortgage and when it's paid off so I can see the actual document, my signature, etc.
I have had a bank recently tell me and the buyers to take that title insurance. Maybe the bank is paying for it? We have abstracts in Iowa so I'm not very familiar with title insurance. |
