Signed by lantern light last night n the middle of Egypt!

Borrower says "isn't it romantic?"

Seriously, no, I can hardly tell you what we're signing. The house built, cute and quaint, in 1912 out in the middle of nowhere. The power is sporadic at best. Frequent outages. it was dark when I arrived.

Mrs. B signs and DATES the note. I tell her we can't date the note. I pull another copy out for her to sign. She signs and DATES the note again.

They don't have a printer. It's 25 miles back to civilization. Friday night traffic back to the Coast is a nighmare.

I left. Said I'd see them on Monday if lender won't accept. UPS doesn't ship today in my neck of the woods any way. I've left a messages to see if lender will accept DATED note, but they don't usually want dates on notes.

Exhausting. Sometimes this work doesn't make sense or pay enough!
