I had a similar situation. When I got there, the daughter had a Revocation of Power of Attorney drawn up for her mom to sign. And, a new POA naming the daughter as the AIF. I was leery of this at first, but, then the mom said she wanted her good for nothing son taken off as AIF as he had passed out drunk in the front yard and left her unattended. He was supposed to be taking care of her as she was bed-ridden. Enough said. And, I know, TMI.
