| Yes, it is very, very, very scary slow! I too am getting a trickle of business. I made about 60% less last month than my normal...I am trying to find a refresher course for legal document assisting (paralegal work) to do as a side job. Its been 20 years since I completed my paralegal certificate program (they no longer call it paralegal but legal assistant). I am just short from panicking... I think it's going to be bad for at least another year. I do hope and pray that all these lenders, title companies, brokers, loan agents etc figure out something. All I am seeing is a dribble of purchases, sales and a literal drip of refis. With interest rates rising not only are refinances hurting but purchases will be dwindling soon too. Unless, unless home prices drop significantly but that will no doubt take some time then I don't see how things can change. I've been in the business 21 years and remember a couple of slow downs but this one feels a lot different... saying prayers for all of us especially those of us that don't have a significant other to help during down times. |
