I get text messages for these ridiculous offers. I never accept them. I just look to see how low the fee is or how far they want you to travel. I had one a week ago for a closing in Kansas! A resident of Iowa can only be an out of state notary for a state that borders Iowa. Kansas and Iowa do not share a border so an Iowa resident cannot be a Kansas notary. I don't remember what the fee was.
