Wow, I am in kentucky and figured that I had the problems with getting business when I first started, but just started in may and have done about 20-25 signings already. I did what everyone on this post said to do and listed my profile and the calls just started coming. I am now turning away business because I am an appraiser too and those come first, but it is pretty flexible to be able to do closings that way to fill in the open days. Anyway Jan, everyone here is telling you right, just keep filling out the applications and signing up with companies, I just sign up with everyone as I get time, whether they are title companies or signing companies and I get calls from both, but I am in a rural area and there are not many notary signing agents in this area yet, but am considering hiring and training some to take the ones that I am not able to handle, but am going to check to see if these companies would actually let me turn them over to these other notaries if I could not handle them first.
NOTE: If there are any Kentucky Notaries here from the I-64 corridor between Ashland and Lexington that would like to work with me on this, I would be happy to share some work that I am not able to handle, you can email me at ed41143 @ yahoo.com. I cover approx. 25 counties, basically the ones that I cover for appraisal work between Ashland and Lexington. |
