When asked to reduce your fees...
Posted by HrdwrkrVA of VA on 7/20/11 11:32am Msg #390346
Tired of those SS's that ask you to accept lower fees? Afriend of mine is one of those lowball NSA's that accept ANYTHING they throw her way, w/ the 'something's better than nothing' philosophy. She's now working three jobs (incl. a midnight - 8am shift!), thinking that she'll make it up... I tried to explain that she's making it harder on everyone esp herself (unless she only plans on sleeping on the wknds)! SMH!!!!

Next time I get a call/ email asking me to accept a lower fee:
"I understand & totally agree w/ you that this is a lousy market. So, even though gas, paper and other supplies have risen astronomically over the past _ years, in the interest of keeping closing costs down, I've not raised my fee & will try not to do so, even as my own business costs continue to soar" or something like that!
