Next time someone says that remind them that there is paper, toner, gas, vehicle and printer depreciation, print time, prep time, drive time, actual signing time, return drive time, packaging and drop time, cell phone bills, and miscellaneous office supplies. When you put all the time together just for print, sign, and drive you are already over an hour for a refi. Now if it's a HELOC within 2 miles you could make a profit at that rate. Otherwise "no thanks". (and none of this even considers the cost of living in the bay)
Don't know who gave her those numbers but she certainly hasn't done any real research on what you must charge to cover expenses AND make a profit. |
