I have screwed up before (and will again I am sure) by misquoting. And I have always and I mean always sucked it up before. I have only worked for this company once before and am still awaiting payment. But that is not the issue. It is not yet 30 days. I guess I was annoyed, perhaps unjustifyably, that this time they offered less to go further. My bad. Guess just business but not nice on their part. If they had come back and said you committed. I would have sucked it up. They didn't. It's over. I've learned a lesson to take a deep breath when at a signing when you get a call like this (a topic on the forum the other day).

More important lesson, FOR ME, note I said for me, I if I am going to drive 50 miles or more round trip I want to do full signings not 1 page. Because once I have driven that far whether I am there 10 minutes or 45-60 minutes, I don't care. I have already spent the time driving and the gas money.. So I want a fee for a full signing. That was probably my problem all along. So no more 1 page signings for me unless I can almost see the destination from my front window.

Wow. Here it is 3:38 AM. This has been like group therapy. Thanks guys. Smile
