A big thank you to Brenda for her assistance in helping us start a network of mobile loan closers/signing agents here in SE Michigan. We have been a little slow is really getting the ball rolling, but have sent out one marketing piece already and several of the members have picked up some new business that way. We have just registered for a web site and as soon as it is up and running we will be linking to other association or networks or loan closers/signing agents. I spoke with Shane_OH earlier today as well as Brenda (lordy, girl, it's scary how much we think alike). In numbers we will have strength! As for me, I'm not interested in elbowing in on Harry's business (he runs a good board and it is getting better all the time, nor am I personally interested in stocking notary supplies, etc), but we do need a collective voice. I am not familiar with the Board of Realtors, but I am familiar with the US Chamber of Commerce and think something along this line is what we need. And this organization needs to be put together by loan closers/signing agents for the betterment of the profession and not the enrichment of some outsider's pocket. If we don't look out for ourselves, who will? NO ONE knows this business as well as those involved in it.
