Please do not tell the borrower that “the Notary” is having problems with the Docs when the only problem I am having is receiving them.
Please call me as soon as you know there is a cancellation, before I print and make my customary “I am on my way” call.
Please keep in mind that I have to face the borrowers, you are just speaking to them on the phone.
Please keep in mind that I live in this community and may face the borrowers after a signing, please be honest with them.
Please do not list the Notary fee at $400, it makes for a very embarrassing situation.
Please do not expect me to sell your loan; I can only point out what the documents state.
Please keep in mind that the borrower has to pay for the loan, if they have questions or concerns they need to be addressed, they pay we do not.
Please do not send me a list of items I will be docked for.
Please do not ask me to agree to a “trip fee” if loan does not fund I have traveled and left a time slot open for you, my time is valuable, same as yours.
Please do not threaten me with non-payment, scream at me or hang up on me when you are asking for the impossible or illegal.
Please pay me without a problem; I do not have the time and energy to chase payment on a job well done.
Please be honest when requesting a signing, let me know what your expectations are BEFORE I quote a fee, e-docs, fax backs, number of loans, type etc.
If Docs do not arrive before 9:00 pm for a 10:00 pm signing that is 75 miles away in a rural area, I will not be able to complete before midnight, I do not have wings nor do I have a plane. I am not risking an ticket or accident due to your failure to provide me with docs in a timely manner.
I will do everything I can to accommodate you within reason.
