Every canadian citizen qualifies for coverage under their national healthcare plan from preventative care to even urgent care. On the page marked "Private Health Insurance" you will see this paragraph at the top:
"While the health care system in Canada covers basic services, including primary care physicians and hospitals, there are many services that are not covered. These include things like dental services, optometrists, and prescription medications."
I can't believe that the Canadian snowbirds Glenn referred to would come down just for their annual physical. It's likely they went for a physical while here in the US escaping the winter and not because they could get a physical cheaper or in a more timely fashion. |
