What I genuinely want to know is who decides what gets covered and what doesn't, in terms of drugs, treatments, etc. , with a system like this? Would this force us all into the equivalent of a national HMO? The concept sounds good on the face of it, but these are real concerns - not hypothetical political statements. They are potentially life and death decisions! Anyone know?
A plan like this would save me huge amounts of money on healthcare, undoubtedly, but I sure like being able to have choices!
