but I finally accepted a call because I thought it was a referral from a friend. I informed the persion that I had never done one before and she wanted to know if I would be willing to go to the orientation on Tuesday with the borrower and LO. Wanted to know how much I charged if all I was going to do was interpret.
Not knowing what to charge ( help if you have suggestions for next time) I said well if it's for an hour $50. She tells me that it may be more than hour how about $100, I agree.
Well 3 hours later I receive a call from the LOand find out that it maybe more like 2-21/2 hours and there is paper work involved ( no notarizing). I am going to stick with it because as I said I am new to RMs and see this as an opportunity to learn, now to my question:
She said she would like for me to be the notary public they use when the docs are ready 20-45 days later ( again, I think I also messed up on the charging for this part not sure of what to charge especially when she knew I was new to this ( the docs are considered a separate transacation ). If I will be translating and helping the LO with the filling out of the forms can I still notarize the docs? Is this the same as helping with the 1003 and later notarizing the docs ?( haven't done that yet either)
