I'm sorry, "asigner", but I completely disagree. The printer will not automatically switch drivers, and they are not automatically installed. The user, when printing, must select the printer. The selected printer has a (as in one) driver associated with it. You computer, nor the printer, knows what driver is need or wanted, except in some cases PostScript based applications such as PageMaker.
And 16Mb of printer should print anything that can be displayed on your screen with Adobe Reader. However, it may take a long time to render a TIF image page in PDF, but it should still print. If there's not enough printer RAM, the PC's memory, virtual/paging memory and spool files will be used and may grow to a very large size while generating the image on the PC. |
