Unprofessional Notary who swears/cusses
Posted by las_CA of CA on 5/19/06 10:56am Msg #121024
Hi Guys,

We refinanced our 2nd loan and got a fixed loan via WAMU. Ofcourse I couldn't sign my own loan, and so they sent a guy. He was an interesting guy to say the least. Says he gets paid an average of $300 - $500 per loan... He walked in swearing, 40 minutes late without a call. (Sorry I'm late, This F****** traffic is F****** slow. Every 3rd or 4th word seems to be some kind of a swearing/cussing word. I finally had to ask him to please cut off the swearing or else that we are not signing this. I have a 6 yr old daughter who was in the house at the time. The last ting I need is for a stranger to be swearing in my home and my dd to pick it up.

The guy had 2 or 3 earings, a nose ring and a toung ring. Was wearing torn black baggy jeans and a t - shirt that said death to all.

I knew that the guy had no clue what the heck he was doing. We asked to see the HUD and the TIL and he just looked at me like I"m nuts. I asked him how many of these he had done, and he say... ***Ummm Ithink about 300***

We did go ahead and finish the signing because we wanted to get it over with and go on with the other stuff I had planned. The never looked at our DL and when I asked, aren't you going to identify us, his answer was, "Ummmm yeah... Are you Mrs Benedict?"

I'm a newbie.. but for heaven's sake, I'm a professional Newbie. I get paid well. (Average I charge is $150). I give the best service I could give as well. I dress professionally, speak professionally and act professionally.

But then I told my husband after he left, I'm glad if he the kid of competition I have. I at the end told him that I was a CLSA and asked him who hired him. He names a TC. I'm tempted to call the TC directly and complain about his behaviour, attire and his swearing...

Just waned to share... Apparently he has been in the business for over a yr and his commision was expiring in March of 2010. Something doesn't add up there... IN CA your commisions are 4 yrs only.
