That's the way everyone writes dates throughout Europe, as far as I know, and probably in most of the rest of the world.  So I'm especially careful with dates with people who are from elsewhere. If they've been here long enough to own property, they'll surely know the difference, but as we all know, it's so easy to fall back into old habits, especially with people doing so little actual writing these days in this digital world. (I'm seeing this more and more lately, with some people even forgetting how to sign their name.) |
