| My hubby comes with me sometimes just cos I get jobs in some interesting places in the Rockies that we likely would never go to otherwise. He packs a book or video and hot coffee, but when the borrowers see him sitting in the car they always invite him in. I tend to discourage this cos, after all, we are going over personal financial stuff, so I say he's fine and just wants to read his book. But inevitably, a good ole boy will recognize another good ole boy and insist he come in, and pretty soon it's all about football. Tho he's never fallen asleep and started snoring! Too funny. One time I had to sit through the rest of the game while these two carried on .. and when I asked my borrower for a restaurant recommendation in town, he practically invited himself. So off we all went. This guy was worth zillions and lived in this log home mansion at this snooty ski resort. When the SS first called me they were all hyperventilating about how I had to treat him extra special with kid gloves blah blah blah. You know how these SSs are. We just never know! |
