I don't think it's a stretch to say the #MeToo topic is about those other issues, as well. I've understood it to be about all types of sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior and gender inequality issues. IMO, it's something that potentially affects people everywhere, and I thought it was a good idea for us to discuss how it could impact our business. Some people are hyper-sensitive on this issue, so it's very possible some men could be concerned about being falsely accused of inappropriate behavior. (For all we know, they may have already been accused of something - legitimately or not.)
Having said that, I was hoping we'd gotten past members taking comments personally - and responding personally to differences of opinion. This forum has been a pretty a pretty nice place lately, so I hope we can return to that. Let's just try to make sure that our posts have to do with the subject matter and specific comments at hand - not the the individual writing them, and accept the fact that we're not going to agree on most things - especially anything controversial. But that's OK. It makes us think and it's one of the things that makes life interesting! 
And just to be clear, this message is intended to be directed to all readers, not any one person... I think that's the case with the vast majority of posts here, so we should keep that in mind when reading. (If in doubt, we can tell ourselves "It's not all about me...")
