Will have to wait until Monday to call the Council for Aging. We have a place local in town that helps seniors negative the system. I am planning on stopping in to see what they have to say about Senior ID's.
As of right now it seems you can not apply for a NEW California State ID or Senior Card in CA online. You may however do a renewal online if NO changes to your name or address.
One upside is, if you are 62 years or older CA does not charge for a State ID.
I am beginning to believe that the bed bound DMV field agent is a California urban myth. I find this interesting because I googled the question and on the first page of results a local CA notary stated that DMV does have this field service and they listed the general telephone number of the DMV (good luck with that - lol).
