Keeping busy here. Lots of phone calls, emails and blast texts. All the low ball/poor-pay-reputations get turned away. Not signing 6/8 files per day. However, those I do accommodate command extremely handsome fees -- most from direct customers (even SS are willing to pay very well).

Very, very few last minute files. I'm making it a point, whenever possible, during scheduling call to ask for docs to be accessible immediately. For next day files, I'm requesting docs no later than end of day. It's working out well and I'm a whole lot less stressed. Wink

To newbies: know your limits; hold out for YOUR fee; vet your hiring party and don't be afraid to say no or turn back a file.
