If you're talking about Notary Rotary membership, that doesn't sound quite right. Not Rot may email you about your membership about to expire or just expired, but, IME they don't fax about it. I don't recall getting a (PM or text) message about my membership either.
When you renewed in September, did you renew for a year or for month-to-month?
