15+ years of closings, never a radon test issued or required in FL for any loan I ever closed. It's a disclosure to make you a way of its existence, like lead-based paint. Even though granite can omit, I believe the largest cause is coming from the ground in basements.We are sandy here and have to look long and hard for any natural rocks.

"Radon is a radioactive gas that is produced by radium deposits, which are in the soil everywhere on earth, usually in a small amount. So a little radon gas is in the air we breathe every day. Most of Florida has minor amounts of radium in the soil and, consequently, low radon levels."
