http//www.legis.iowa.gov/docs/ico/chapter/9B.pdf - your certs must contain a date; note 9B.15(b)

Here's the requirements for your certificates:

9B.15 Certificate of notarial act.
1. A notarial act must be evidenced by a certificate. The certificate must meet all of the
following requirements:
a. Be executed contemporaneously with the performance of the notarial act.
b. Be signed and dated by the notarial officer and, if the notarial officer is a notary public, be signed in the same manner as on file with the secretary of state.
c. Identify the jurisdiction in which the notarial act is performed. Thu Dec 05 12:40:43 2019 Iowa Code 2020, Chapter 9B (28, 5)
d. Contain the title of office of the notarial officer.
e. If the notarial officer is a notary public, indicate the date of expiration, if any, of the notarial officer’s commission
