So I had a signing that had been moved back a couple a times over a few days. Docs finally ready yesterday and borrowers chose when they wanted to sign. I was booked at that time, so asked for the order to be reassigned, case closed( so I thought) Anyway signer tells their LO they will work around my schedule because she has been communicating with me and would like me to show up.
When I arrived for the signing, BO mentioned casually that" this will be a long signing, I hope you were told", I replied that I wasn't told but that's ok, I give myself 1.5 hours per signing which should be plenty of time to get this done. Well, she was right they read every single word. They got stuck on the DOT because they saw a clause they had not seen before (they have multiple high-end properties/loans) they wanted to find the previously signed DOT to compare. At the 3 hour mark, while still stuck on the DOT, I informed them and the hiring party that I had to move on to my next appointment. After back and forth text messaging with the hiring party, it was agreed that I leave them their copies (at this point we had signed 1/3 of the package) and take my partially signed docs. The BO's said for their other properties, they were sent the entire package to review the day before, and on the day of the signing, they would sign. I have never heard of the entire package being sent over, or is this a service offered to high end clients ?(SFR just shy of 10 M)
