Personally doing loan closings is different than GNW...we do not charge per notarization in a loan package but ask for a flat fee regardless and represent the title company and have expertise.
I think this is more about GNW where let's say your state allows you to charge $10.00 per notarization and you ask them for $70.00 when you get there. $60.00 of which is a travel and convenience fee. Some may raise an eyebrow to that being 6x the actual fee for the notarization and might consider that excessive. JMO on that what maybe going on. |
