Once their passport is issued to them, that is it, no corrections later on. As they said, it's because they only had one Chinese name at the time they applied, and no other name registered, so that is why the Chinese Gov. does it like this. For us to verify that the name on the docs matches the passport, and they always have in my cases. If they go by FNU, so be it...everything matches up, they signed their passport-like such and will sign the documents as such, recorded as such.
It's very uncommon, and only seen it for investment purposes where they buy houses out by Disney and rent them out VHBO or similar and collect a fortune. A management company runs them, cleans them, maintains them, they pay the fees and collect the money. Most Chinese investors that I have closed for use a POA through a Chinese paralegal who is used to Chinese foreigners and this business. In fact they usually use the same 2-3 women who come and sign for all of them, so it's pretty quick. Only a few times, like in this case, they actually came themselves and that is when I have seen the FNU.
I will be curious as to this situation and what the scenario is ... |
