When you have a savvy signer like I did recently who caught more than once that the lender had "switched" the trustee & trustor on some lines, it saves you. This guy was awake! He called LO from the table and told Him exactly what needed to be there, including an acceptable abbreviation for the long Trustee language he substituted with lender's okay. He knew his Trust and recognized the name confusion (with his dad) and corrected the wrong Trust immediately!
Very smart people out there who actually do know the law, their rights, etc. I would have had nothing to draw on if I only followed the docs in front of me - as they were not all correct. |
