you may have had a paper jam and pulled/ripped the paper out without realizing a small scrap tore off the corner or edge of the paper. It could have just finally worked itself into a position inside the printer that you can’t even see. Many HPs, after removing the toner and paper tray(s) have doors that can be lifted up/down. These are positions you also find a buildup of paper lint. There could be something on a gear or roller. Additionally, as has been mentioned, if there is a back exit door for the paper path, there are a number of places a small scrap of paper can hide. Do you use canned air and a lint-free wipe to wipe down/clean the inside of the printer? I don’t believe a toner cartridge would give you a paper jam error. |
