That was a dirty, underhanded, unethical notary. I'm glad you got paid your full fee.
Once I attended a signing at a Chase Private Client branch, which I accepted at the very last minute, printed and dashed to the branch for a noon appointment. Apparently, the first notary was running 30 minutes late because she had a full-time job and was delayed. The LO then reached out to me. That notary was cut from ever working for this bank going forward. The borrowers and I were already signing when she walked into the conference room, red faced due to her rush to get there and was highly insulted she had been replaced.
She said, get this, "well, just go ahead then, do the signing." I said, "thank you, I will." So arrogant, no apologies, just rude. The borrowers were elderly, retired, and did not want to be late for afternoon t-time. Don't ever mess with golfer's t-time. |
